Mix all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda) in a bowl and create two wells with a tablespoon. Pour the apple cider vinegar into one and the extra virgin olive oil into the other one.
Add the grated orange zest to the bowl.
Add the freshly squeezed orange juice and combine the mixture thoroughly using a whisk to break up lumps, and then a fork, until the mixture is smooth and dense.
Pour it into a greased and floured heart-shaped mold (22cm diameter).
Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes and use a toothpick to check whether it's well cooked.
Wait until cold, place the cake into a tray and decorate with icing sugar.
Tips:
For a gourmand touch, decorate with Monfortechoc hot chocolate (cold and very thick), spreading it over the surface with a spatula. Enjoy!
